About Me: Some of you may know me, as I previously lived and worked in the Littlehampton area.
I am the Founder, Project Manager and current Chairman of the Littlehampton Restoration Project.
My dream over the last 14 years, has been to see restoration work commence on such an important part of our history. I have been lucky enough to have some amazing people help me to achieve this.
Our journey along the way has all been recorded here, for everyone to enjoy.
I am very passionate about the Fort and it’s future, and I welcome anyone who wants to help me on my journey into the restoration of Littlehampton Fort.

John Rhodes is a Business & I.T Consultant who has worked in and around EMEA for the last 25 years. As one of only a handful of specially qualified people in his market space, his skills are constantly in demand. His travels take him all over the world, dealing mainly with the banking, insurance and healthcare sectors.

About Me:
I moved to Littlehampton towards the end of 2013 after living in Hove for about six years. Initially a graphic designer by trade, I now work in website design, marketing, photography, illustration, set design for theatre and pretty much anything else creative (or not) that people are willing to pay me for. I’ve been working in my field for about 15 years and have a wealth of experience that I’m sure will benefit the project.
I discovered the fort quite by accident while walking along the footpath on the west beach and noticing some of the fort walls peeking out from beneath the encroaching vegetation. I’ve always thought that it’s a shame when parts of our history are left to succumb to the elements of nature and eventually disappear, and so I was excited to discover that there was a campaign that aimed to restore the fort. I feel that the restoration of the fort would provide a number of benefits to the community though education boosted tourism to name just a few, and although I’m not a born and bred Littlehamptonite, I’m proud to be a part of it.

My name is John Howard I am 34 years of age and have always lived in Littlehampton.
I joined this team as the Fort Secretary as I have always wanted a role like this. I have never had a role like it, and I saw it advertised and thought I am going to give it a go. What I want to get out of this role, is experience and training, and I believe I will really enjoy it.
